On the 5th of February 2020, a delegation from the Administrative Board of the Romaïan Cultural Society visited Kyrios Kyrios Sylwan (Moussi), the Metropolitan of Byblos and Botrys and their dependencies, at his headquarters in Broummana, presented to him a detailed report on the Society’s achievements since its establishment in 2014, and expressed to him the society’s full readiness to provide as much cultural support as possible for his eparchy.
The delegation consisted of the president of the society, Professor Négib Geahchan, Engineer Nicolas Nassif and Mr. Roland Khairallah. This meeting was not the first contact with H. E. Metropolitan Sylwan, since the society had previously contacted him when he was elected as archbishop of the eparchy of Byblos and Botrys and paid him a visit in the spring of 2019, handing him a number of CDs that the society published.
On the other hand, His Excellency explained to the delegation the current developments in the diocese of Byblos and Botrys, and the preparations for the establishment of new parish councils in all the cities and villages of the diocese, and expressed his keen interest in the pressing social conditions under which the average citizen is suffering in the current Lebanese circumstances.
